The last weekend of March was my 37th birthday. I was invited to Las Vegas by my good buddy Paul who lives in Henderson. He wanted me to come out to take some pictures with him.

On the first day, we went to the Las Vegas Strip to get some pictures of the Bellagio water show. After the water show was over, we decided to go to the Valley of Fire just Northeast of Las Vegas about an hours drive. Along the way there is this truckers stop were they sell fireworks and just not the small ones. They have a dedicated site adjacent to the place to set off the fireworks.

When driving into the Valley of Fire at the west entrance, you will notice a some rocks that are really red in the hills. But after driving into the valley, you will see why they call it the Valley of Fire. We spent the afternoon at the Valley of Fire until sunset. I took a lot of great pictures, but not many worth posting.

On Sunday, we went to Lake Las Vegas to take a couple of pictures of the waterfalls. After that we went back to the Las Vegas Strip for a few hours before I came home. To see the pictures I took go to http://tinyurl.com/4dwu5.

I have been taking one of my dogs, Bandit, to beginner dog class the past 8 weeks. He finally graduated tonight along with Hershey (Chocolate Lab), Junior (Bulldog), Coco (Terrier), and Thor (Boxer).

Well, I took the plunge this week and purchased a MacBook Pro for myself.  This is partly my Christmas present from my wife and friend.

One of the reasons I moved to a MAC is that my wife has started to use my desktop at home more to do her stuff (Autocad, Scrap Booking & photos).  Another reason is that Windows will work on the new MacBooks with Boot Camp, Parallels or Fusion.

Here laptop is about fours years old now and she was having a tuff time getting her stuff done.  So, I kept bugging her to get a new computer and she decided to take mine and let me buy a new one.  This is my second personal laptop I have owned.

I am hoping that this new relationship will work well for me and that I will be able to excel as I have in the Microsoft world.

A few weeks ago, I took pictures at my 1st and last wedding shoot. Since this wedding was my wife’s best friend I was volunteered (better known as you have no choice). My wife was one of the Bride’s Maids and my oldest daughter was the flower girl. Taking pictures at a wedding is not easy at all. Luckily I had my VCCC meeting earlier in the week were I was able to ask questions. Also, one of the VCCC members (Norman) helped with the shoot.

Most of the shots came out quite nice and my wife will be working on them to make them better. Yes, my wife is quite better at Photoshop than I am.

As this is my 1st & last wedding, I give praise to those who do it all the time.
